Teacher Paula

Teacher Paula brings warmth, experience, and a deep passion for early childhood education to our classroom. She believes the early years of school are foundational in shaping a lifelong love of learning. Her teaching style emphasizes play-based, child-led exploration, and is grounded in helping children develop strong social and emotional skills—skills that support their well-being both in and out of the classroom.
Teacher Paula has been part of the MCP community since 2018. She first discovered the power of cooperative education when her own son attended the school. As a parent, she experienced firsthand the value of family involvement, the strength of the co-op community, and the joy children find in hands-on, meaningful play. In her words, “The moment we walked into the school, I knew we had found a special place.” In 2021, she returned as a teacher, to the school that had such a meaningful impact on her family. Before joining MCP as a teacher, Paula taught kindergarten and first grade, gaining a strong understanding of the academic and developmental milestones that support school readiness. She also has experience working with diverse learners, including children who speak English as a second language and students with learning or developmental delays. Her goal is to create a supportive and inclusive environment, where every child feels seen, capable, and inspired to grow. |
